The morning after Harley died, he meowed. Loud. Unapologetic. Unmistakably him. I thought it would be one miraculous moment. Three years later, Harley still meows. He still continues to surprise me. Sometimes in dreams. Sometimes through synchronicities. Sometimes through moments so ordinary and so him, that I’ve come to recognize them as a continuation of our relationship.
At first, I thought I was looking for signs. I’ve since realized the signs were teaching me how to recognize him.

It didn’t begin with a theory.
It began with a relationship.
The deeper my relationship with Harley became, the more it transformed the questions I was asking.
Not only about grief…
…but about love, relationship, and the nature of reality itself.
I began to see that love isn’t simply an emotion.
It’s an organizing force.
When love becomes coherent through trust, presence, and devotion—sustained loving attention—it doesn’t merely endure.
It creates.
That discovery became the beginning of what I now call a Soul Braid.
