The morning after Harley died, he meowed. Loud. Unapologetic. Unmistakably him. I thought it would be one miraculous moment. But it wasn’t. Three years later, Harley still meows. He continues to surprise me. Sometimes in dreams. Sometimes through synchronicities. Sometimes through moments so ordinary and so him, that I’ve come to recognize them as a continuation of our relationship.
At first, I thought I was searching for signs.
